The CRCT measures what students should know and be able to do at the end of 7th grade, based on the state’s curriculum, the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS). (Gwinnett’s AKS curriculum includes and goes beyond the state’s GPS curriculum.) Georgia students in 7th grade take the CRCT in Reading, English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Students are expected to meet or exceed grade-level expectations on each CRCT to be on track for success in school.
